It is also critical to recognize and understand that while self-care is an important piece of wellbeing and way to explore ones agency over their wellbeing, it is not in and of itself the key to healing. Liberation and self-actualization require accessible, transformative resources and radical structural changes that can address and conquer the systemic impacts of oppression and trauma. We need and deserve access to reliable, transformative resources in our lives.
