Belonging in This Body
Practices to help you feel more connected to and safe in your mixed race body
Sunday, July 20th
1 - 3:30 pm EST
10 - 12:30 pm PST
About this workshop
How does your mind feel toward your body? How does your body feel in the presence of your mind? How do you feel towards the parts of you who yearn for belonging? Who grieve being othered? This workshop will focus on (re)igniting the relationship between your mind and body, and all the different things that make you you - yes, even your grief - as a way to cultivate inner belonging. You’ll practice attuning to your inner world and providing your body with the kind of support it’s been longing for. In the spirit of trusting your body’s wisdom and timeline, guidance will be offered along the way for the tension, resistance, and skepticism you might understandably encounter in this exploration.

Where Rivers Meet
Growing our capacity to hold the both/ands of being mixed
Monday, July 28th
6 - 8:30 pm EST
3 - 5:30 pm PST
About this workshop
The mixed experience is layered and complex. Reconciling the confluence of multiple lineages can be a source of confusion and angst. We can find comfort and inspiration in studying how nature manages the confluence of two or more ecosystems. Grounding in a knowing that confluences are natural and normal, we might find more breathing room to be with the dualities and multiplicities of mixed race identity, such as privilege and pain, belonging and loneliness, and grief and hope. In this workshop, we’ll explore somatic and creative practices that will support you toward growing your capacity to hold the both/ands of your mixed race experience.
PAY WHAT YOU CAN
Suggested donation $40 per workshop.
There is no required cost to attend; you may attend at no cost.
But if you are able to support the time, energy, and expertise I am bringing to this program in a financial way you can name the amount that feels honoring of your financial capacity.

I don't offer donation-based programming because I am financially affluent, but because I value making my programs as accessible as possible.

If you can afford to pay more, please do - this helps support others who need a lower rate and helps me be able to continue offering donation-based programming. If you need the lower rates, great! That’s why they exist.

Meet Your Guide
Hi, I'm Raina (she/her)
I’m a relational somatic therapist and yoga teacher specializing in racial identity, trauma, relationships and belonging.
My ancestors found home on the lands we now call Cameroon, West Africa, Turkey, England, Ireland, Scotland, Greece, and Albania.
I’ve lived my entire life at the intersection of this and that.
So I understand firsthand what it’s like to struggle with belonging and feeling generally safe and at home in your body and relationships.
I’m thrilled to share with you a series of programs that will help you experience belonging from the inside-out so you can cultivate the beloved community you’ve always dreamed of.
